Tonight's the night

Tonight is the big night.  We have been patiently awaiting the arrival of our newest family member only to be disappointed that she is refusing to come on her own.  So tonight we go in at 8pm to start an induction.  I'm scared as I've never been induced before with the other 3, but so very excited and overjoyed to meet our new daughter!!  I can not wait to see her sweet face and know that she is healthy.  I have confidence in myself and my body that I rock this out with no complications!!  I keep reminding myself that I've done this 3 times before, I am a birthing pro!! haha  All of our children are very excited as well.  I am feeling a bit emotional about Ella no longer being the "baby" of our family.  She's been the princess and baby of the family for 4 years now.  Although she will be a wonderful big sister and I'm so happy that I will have 2girls and that they will have a sister.  I know the bond they will share will be like no other.  Our boys have no said a whole lot about it, I know they are excited, but at 11 and 14 they just have other things they feel are more important than thinking about their new sister coming.  They are much more concerned with where they are staying and if they can take their video game...typical.  I know they are excited too, they just show it differently.  Jason cleaned last night and he and Hunter did tons of yard work yesterday.  Abby and I will be able to come home to a nice clean house and a great looking yard.  Today, Jason is planting the garden and I am finishing up some laundry.  I can't wait to get the labor out of the way and meet our new daughter.  Tomorrow we will meet our new daughter!!

Big changes in a year!

So I haven't posted in almost a year.  What a difference a year makes!!  In July we found out we were VERY unexpectedly expecting again.  I am now 38 weeks along with another daughter and anxiously awaiting her arrival.  We have everything ready, all the baby clothes are washed, we have the carseat ready, the crib is ready,  but Momma is not too sure she is ready.  It still doens't seem real, I can't imagine how a baby is going to fit into our already busy schedule with 3 children.  I know it will just all fall into place, it always does, but I still just can't imagine it.  It scares the hell out of me to think about it really.  We have a 14 year old that has a very busy schedule and starts high school next year, an 11 year old that has his own very busy schedule and will be in middle school next year, and a 4 year old that just started soccer and will start kindergarten next year.  How will I survive??  Thank goodness I do have a wonderful set of inlaws, I mean the BEST,  the very best!!!  If it weren't for them we wouldn't survive!  They say it take a village to raise a child, I say it takes Grammy and Pappy!!!

It's Friday!!!

Oh how I love Fridays!!  All the kids will be home, we can sleep in, not take showers, play outside together...all that great stuff you do on the weekends.  And even better, next week is spring break which means we can do all that all week long...well except we will take showers!  My girl is missing her Grammy and Pappy, every Thursday without fail, right when she's going to bed she says..."I miss my Grammy and Pappy".  I am blessed with the greatest inlaws on the planet and they love love love their grandkids.  The boys have kind of outgrown the staying at grammy and pappy's now, I mean they don't have internet access and Hunter can't get cell phone reception at their house in the country...so Ella is ususally the only one that goes now for weekend visits.  They were going fishing today, and staying out at the camper tonight.  What a fun weekend we have planned, lots of family dinners and our annual family egg hunt!!!  And of course the Easter bunny will be making his annual stop at our house.  Tonight we will be smelling the sweet aroma of burgers and hotdogs on the grill, having a few good beers with some great company and hopefully having a fun game of kickball.

Mother nature is becoming my friend again

I was able to open the windows and doors at home today.  I love feeling the breeze and hearing the birds chirpping and dogs barking and the cars zooming down our road.  I rode home from dropping Ella off at school today with the windows rolled down and Jack Johnson turned all the way up!!  Oh it is so good for my soul!!
I spent an hour this morning with Ella and her friends at school.  It was so great to see eleven 3 year olds so incredibly happy to run around and pick up little plastic eggs that all the mommies lovingly stuffed for them with all sorts of different treats.  There were necklaces, bubbles (courtsey of us :o) bunny flippers, candy and sidewalk chalk in them.  Oh the joy of watching my youngest child running wildly outside today with her best friend... When I got home and uploaded the pictures I couldn't help but cry happy (and kinda sad) tears that my baby is growing up, she has friends now and she goes to school (only 2 days a week) and she just isn't the little baby she once was.  But she is an incredibly happy, thankfully healthy child and she loves me!!!
